2007-2021 Toyota Tundra & 2008-2022 Sequoia RCI Engine Skid Filler Plates
RCI makes a great engine skid plate for the 2nd/2.5 gen Tundra and Sequoia, but we wanted to improve the protection and aesthetics. These filler plates close the big side holes left after installing the RCI engine skid plate, adding an extra layer of protection. Once installed, the oil pan, serpentine belt system and rest of the engine will be far better protected. This is especially important if you’re driving your Tundra or Sequoia off road and kicking up dirt and rocks. It’s also very helpful for keeping branches and other harmful debris out of your belts during water and mud crossings.
The filler plates are vented to allow airflow and proper cooling. They’re also CAD designed and precision-fit just like the paneling usually reserved for custom fabricated race vehicles.
Included Components:
Skid Filler Plates (x2)
- 1/8" thick 5052 aluminum plate (CNC lasercut & bent)
- vented for airflow
Hardware:
- high-strength steel hardware
Tools required for installation:
- power drill w/ 1/4" drill bit
- material clamp such as: C-clamp, bar clamp, quick clamp or vise grips with flat jaws
- ratchet w/ 10mm socket
- 4mm hex key
Installation Process Overview:
- clamp skid filler plate into position
- mark hole positions
- drill four 1/4" holes
- bolt on using supplied hardware
