Rugged Radios M1 G1 G4 RM60 RDM GMR45 Cantilever Mounting Bracket (Universal Fit)
This is a universal bracket that is mountable on any flat surface, at any angle.
It is compatible with all of these Rugged Radios units:
Rugged Radios makes great mobile radios, but the included mounting brackets can be improved. These mounting brackets were originally developed to position the M1 radio on the dashboard of 2014-2021 Toyota Tundras, but they can be mounted anywhere they fit.
These brackets are significantly stronger and far more vibration resistant than the bracket that comes with your Rugged Radio and the cantilever mounting base position, allows you to offset the position of the radio if a central mount isn’t ideal.
They also have a much cleaner aesthetic and an integrated wire management slot, which keeps your wires super tidy without disrupting airflow/cooling which is critical for keeping these radios from overheating.

Cantilever Radio Mounting Bracket
- 0.060" thick 304 stainless steel plate (CNC lasercut & bent)
- heavy duty black texture powdercoat
Hardware:
- high-strength steel hardware
Tools required for installation:
- power drill w/ ¼ inch drill bit and 1-1 ¼ inch step drill or holesaw
- ratchet w/ 10mm socket
- 5mm hex key or socket bit
Installation Process Overview:
- position radio & bracket in desired location
- mark hole positions
- drill four ¼ inch holes and one larger wire pass-through hole
- bolt on using supplied hardware
